The mission of PianoArts is to develop innovative ways to foster appreciation and performance of classical music by identifying and training a new generation of pianists with exceptional musical and verbal communication skills and by presenting them to diverse audiences.

February 24, 2012: DVD Preliminary Round Submission Postmark Deadline
DVD recording will include:
Solo of the contestant's choice -- entire work or movement(s)
First movement of the selected concerto (See application for information on preparing the DVD.)
Early March: Invitation to Participate in Semifinal & Final Rounds
Up to 12 contestants will be invited to participate in the semifinal rounds, master
classes and collaborative performances with MSO musicians
One alternate will be invited to audit the competition and perform in a master class given by one of the judges
Early April
The teacher of each contestant will receive written comments on the contestant’s performance.
April 27
Approval for changes in repertory must be completed. After submitting the application, contestants cannot change lithe concerto.
