Rules Each couple competing must qualify at one of the following dates: Friday Oct 2nd, 2009~ live band, Salson Friday Oct 9th, 2009 Friday Oct 16th, 2009~ Salson Friday Oct 23rd, 2009
Finals: Friday Oct 30th, 2009~ Salson Preliminary Rounds * Couples will be judged by Local Panel of Judges. 1) 2 Couples will be selected each week to advance into the Finals on Oct. 30th. 2) Total of 8 couples will advance to the Finals. 3) Couples may enter as many times as they want until they qualify, no change of partners may occur once you have qualified into the Finals. 4) All couples will be introduced & dance on the floor together for a warm up for 2 minutes to music at DJ’s choice. 5) Each couple will then perform alone and perform to DJ’s selection of music for 2 minutes to slow song and 2 minutes to fast song. 6) All competitors have to be registered between 9:00 - 10:30 PM. Competition starts at 11:00 PM sharp. 7) To qualify to compete one must not teach Salsa as A full time job. Competitors will be graded in the following way: Timing Lead and Follow Appearance ~ Highest score 5 pts Choreography Originality Crowds Interaction ~ Highest score 3 pts 8) If you Qualify to the final, you will dance to your choice of song which has to be between 2 1/2 - 4 minutes long. * Dress code for competitors: Professional Costumes or matching outfits.
