The entire written defense should not exceed 15 pages. Application packets exceeding 15 pages will be disqualified. The written defense and all of your support materials should fit in a 14" x 12" x 4" container or smaller.
Each completed Application Packet MUST include all of the following:

Typewritten, single-spaced responses to five questions below, which align with the judging criteria. Please respond to each of the following five questions in sequential order. Please do not exceed three pages per response.
1.
List the goals and/or objectives of the project. Use a step-by-step approach to highlight past, present, and future activities.
2.
List any individuals or groups that have provided support (financial or otherwise), and list each of their contributions. Also list the recognitions/awards the project has received.
3.
Describe the most significant positive impact of the project. Consider the students, schools, community and environment when answering this question.
4.
List your proposed uses for the award money if your project is a winner.
5.
Describe how the project can be used as a model for other individuals, schools and communities. Provide any examples of how it is being implemented elsewhere.
III.
Color photographs, brochures, videos, CDs, websites, and/or news articles illustrating students and community members involved in project activities. Newspaper articles and photographs should be attached to an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. These materials do count towards the 15 page maximum.
IV.
Applicants are encouraged, but NOT required, to send support materials (e.g. posters, T-shirts, buttons, etc.)
