GOTHAM SCREEN presents fresh voices and perspectives from local, national and international filmmakers. The mission of the festival is to create a positive industry and audience exposure for works that would otherwise not easily get seen, and give New Yorkers a chance to see fresh, undiscovered cinema from around the US, and the world.
FEATURE FILM SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
vThe contest is open to everyone. You must be 18 years or older (21 in some states) to participate, or have written consent from your parent or guardian.
vFilm must be in English, or subtitled in English
vInternational submissions are encouraged, as long as they are in English, or subtitled in English.
vFilm must be in one of the following formats: - 35mm - Video NTSC (Digital Betacam, Beta SP, DV) - Video PAL (Digital Betacam, Beta SP) - DVD NTSC
vScreeners must be submitted on one of the following formats: - NTSC DVD (region coding 0 or 1 only) - NTSC VHS - PAL DVD (region coding 0 or 1 ONLY. Final material must be available in 35mm print or NTSC/PAL video)
vFilms must be 55 minutes or longer
vAll music rights must be cleared and licensed to be shown at a festival
vAll prints and materials sent toGOTHAM SCREEN must be insured by the sender.
vScreeners will not be returned. Do not send originals, and make sure you retain a copy.
